Frequently Asked Questions - Dermal fillers

Please reach us at info@baylisaesthetics.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Fillers are predominantly made from a substance called hyaluronic acid, which can be naturally found in our skin. However, the supply lessens, as our skin matures.

Facial fillers work by adding volume to the area injected. They can be used to hydrate & sculpt an area too.  There are a multitude of areas that can be augmented, areas including lips, nose, chin, jawline, nasolabial line, marionette lines and cheeks. Fillers can also work to smooth out age related wrinkles, help to conceal depressed scarring and add volume to sunken skin areas.

A full consultation will take place before the procedure. This will allow you to ask any questions you may have. We always numb the area before injecting. The treatment will then be carried out and the results will be instant.

Results last 9-12 months on average. This all depends on aftercare, lifestyle, skin type & the amount of filler used.

A pre numb will be used for 20 minutes prior to the procedure to help minimise any initial discomfort.  The products also contain a numbing agent which numbs further once treatment has begun. Don’t forget our technicians deal with nervous clients on a day to day basis and will do everything they can to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. We will hold your hand every step of the way.

Yes, filler can be dissolved and reversed by hyaluronidase. This is administered via small injections to break the product down.

If you’re torn between two treatments don’t worry – feel free to book either. It’s very common for people to change treatment during the consultation with our technician.  We appreciate not everyone knows what they want and will work with our clients to understand their needs and expectations on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions - anti wrinkle injections

Please reach us at info@baylisaesthetics.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Are a purified extract of a bacterial protein that can temporarily weaken the contractions of muscles in the injected area. Reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Areas include the fore head lines (line created by lifting the brows), frown lines (the indented lines between the brows), crows feet (wrinkles around the eyes) and bunny lines (creasing at the top of the nose).

A full consultation will take place before the procedure. The procedure is virtually painless so no numbing cream is needed.

Minimal to no pain, we do not use a numbing agent for anti wrinkle injections as it is not needed.

Around 3 - 6 months.
